Review Of the of the term

This Term has been really crazy because of the whole Covid-19 but we got to do online school which was really nice. I could work on my own time and be alone to work in my room. The day we got to come back to school I had mixed feelings because coming to school I would get to see some friends, but I was also scared of Covid-19 and thought I wasn't really prepared for what was going to happen. After a little while I started enjoying school more because it kept getting more normal everyday. I actually enjoyed learning with a smaller class and loved how everyone was being so careful around people. I am very sad that this term is nearly over but happy to have a fresh start in term 3.

Writing an Effective Essay

Walt: Use a variety of sentence types.

Task Description: Today's writing task was one that I really enjoyed. On slide to it was explaining what a simple sentence, a Compound sentence, and a complex sentence is. Then we had to try write those sentences. Then on slide 4 I had to read a story and then write how I felt about the opening, then write some things I could use in my own writing. Then on the very last slide I wrote my own introduction as to why I think people protest.

School assembly

Today we had assembly for the first time in 98 days. It was fun to see everyone in person and not on a screen. It was actually really weird for me because seeing everyone was really different and we actually got to sit next to each other.


Today the whole school honored Mr Burt for his award that he got from the queen. There are a small number of people in New Zealand that have this award and we are all very very proud of him. The senior block sang a beautiful song for him and then the whole school stood up and sang another song.



I was getting a bit emotional while singing the song because Mr Burt has done a lot of things for my family. He helped pay for my Chromebook and he also taught my dad, all my dad’s brothers, and both my dad's sister. They all have moved on with their lives and now are bringing their kids to Pt England.



So on behalf of me and my family I would like to say thank you for everything.

Task Description: Today's task for writing is called Instructional Text. This task if you go to slide 4 you will see my create task. The create task was we had to make something showing step by step how to wash your hands properly. If you press on that link it will take you through how I wash my hands step by step.
