As I saw it

John Gore's object is a Red thread which he traded with a lady named Kaiwhatu. She used it to weave.


I am in the John Gore on the endeavor and then I got traded to a lady named Kaihatu she used me to weave.


I am a beautiful red thread inside the pocket of John Gore. I hear people talking and I hear explosions. I was traded to the Maori people. A lady named Kaiwhatu unravelled me into a thread. I was weaved into kakahu.

Tuvalu Dance Workshop

Task Description: Today's room 4, 1, and 5 went to a Tuvalu Dance Workshop. I had a lot of fun listening and making connections to their items that they wear, how they dance, and their interesting myths. The amazing people who took the time to teach us are named Molia and Marian and they are actually sisters. I had a lot of fun and I am hoping they come again soon.

Task Description: Since it is Maori language week my class and I decided to pick a bunch of random words in Te Reo and have a test to see who can name the most. Task Description: This task was about understand how people remember and record the past in different ways. In this task I found out that it was harder to find information from Maoris then Pakeha because Pakeha's liked writing things down like letters , but Maori's liked talking in person.

Task Description: Today's Task for Maths was a bit of all the things we have been learning. I found everything easy but I found the 6th slide which was about converting between these units of measurements. I ended up being really good at this and am so happy I got it. 

He hākete kikorangi

Task Description: This was today's task for our normal year 7 rotations. It is called He hākete kikorangi which means A blue jacket. I hope you enjoy!

Task description: This task was today's literacy task. It is about presenting factual information about our topic and basically factual means facts.For this task our topic was Top 10 endangered species in Aotearoa New Zealand and I picked the Fairy Tern. Hope you enjoy!

Task Description: This was today's task for maths. This was just reflecting back on what we did on Monday. I found most of slides easy except for the slide called convert between these units of measurement. I found it hard but my friends that were sitting next to me helped me out and reminded me what I was suppose to do.

Task Description: I got given this task today for Maths. It was in between hard and easy. I found most of the slides pretty easy and then about 2 of the slides a bit tricky. I'm think I am improving in my maths which was actually one of my goals for 2020. I have to thank my Maths and home class teacher Mrs Stone for helping me out with my maths and being so kind even when I make mistakes. 

He pene tāu?

Task Description: This was one of the tasks that I got given for rotations. This task is called He pene tāu? which means have you got a pen. We had to answer questions, for example do you have paint and in response we would answer either yes or no in Maori. Then on the last slide I created some of my own questions for the create task. Taha Hinengaro Level 3

Task Description: This task was about  Taha Hinengaro which is one of the four walls of Whare Tapa Wha. This is about how you feel as well as how you think and communicate. For this task I had to put a photo of me in the middle and then write all the things I think I am good at around it. This task was to grow our confidence and self esteem.

Task Description: This task was actually one of my favorite tasks I've done this term. I had to put some photos of some of the people in my bubble and then describe what they did for me in lock down. Then in that bottom box I wrote a kind of thank you note for all of them and then in the top left corner I wrote what Taha Whanau was. I hope you enjoy.
